Great news!
We're really excited to announce that we've now opened our office in Penrith, Cumbria. From this office we can better service our customers in Cumbria, North Lancashire and into the North East. Although our plans are to expand nationally, we have a belief that local is best. We will be recruiting the best people into our expanding regions, with the same passion, energy, commitment and customer focus as the existing team, but with an all important local knowledge. Knowledge of the geography, but also knowledge of the local issues. They will have, and will build upon a knowledge of the local planning regimes, typical properties for the retrofit market, and of course they will be immersed in the local communities.
Our new man in the north, Stephen Gurney, is very much typical of this. Stephen will be heading up the team in the region. Stephen Gurney grew up in the Midlands but moved to Cumbria 20 years ago. He lives in Penrith with his wife who is a school nurse and his two children. Stephen has worked in the building industry since the late 1980's, and after training as an interior designer he successfully ran an interior design and decorating business for many years. After becoming interested in the environment he decided to take a new direction, working with green building technologies. For the past three years he has worked with a range of products and manufacturers gaining a great deal of knowledge of how to make buildings more sustainable, energy efficient, and reducing their carbon footprints. Stephen though developed a growing interest in renewable technologies, particularly microgeneration, or on-site renewables, such as solar panels, wind turbines and heat pumps. This is how Stephen first came into contact with Eco Environments over two years ago. We're delighted that he has now decided to join the team at Eco Environments and to bring his knowledge, passion and expertise to our newest region.
Should you have any questions about our services, or if you'd like to speak to someone locally in the region about your plans, no matter at what stage they are, Stephen is keen to hear from you.
We're also moving our head office to new, larger premises in the next few weeks, and we're busily recruiting a team for a new office in Manchester.
The introduction of 'Feed in Tariffs' in April of this year has really stimulated the market, making renewable energy on a domestic and small scale commercial level a fantastic investment opportunity, as well as a way to reduce your energy bills and carbon footprint. This and various legislations for the construction and property sector have really boosted our growth. However one thing we promise as we grow is that we'll never compromise on our quality of product, installation and customer care.
